Tucked into the courtyard behind Porters Boutique Hotel, our Wine Bar is a relaxed place to escape the world for a while and enjoy the pleasure, culture and craft of wine.
Our wine list features more than 100 wines, including Smith & Sheth, Pyramid Valley and Lowburn Ferry, alongside a constantly changing selection of wines we simply love to drink and share from New Zealand and around the world. With around 60 wines available by the glass, as well as half glasses, there’s plenty to explore at your own pace.
Our good friends and neighbours at Malo provide a delicious selection of small plates and platters, while our own cheese fridge is stocked with a curated selection of handcrafted cheeses for creating your own cheese board.
Settling in for a glass, sharing a bottle with friends or making an evening of it, our Wine Bar is a place to slow down, explore and enjoy.

Every Wednesday, we turn up the volume just a little with Live Music Wednesdays, featuring a rotating line-up of outstanding local musicians.
Come for the music, stay for the wine, cheese and good company. It’s the perfect midweek excuse to get out.
Lucky sip Thursdays
Thursdays are for a little friendly competition. Join us for Lucky Sip Thursday, where you can put your palate to the test with a tasting game alongside the Wine Bar team.
No serious wine knowledge required - just a curious palate and a willingness to have a guess. There may even be bragging rights involved.
