The grower provided approval on the condition of anonymity. This selection was officially imported into New Zealand and after quarantine was planted in a somewhat undistinguished vineyard in Hawke’s Bay.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSteve retraced this lineage and received vines in 2017 to plant in his Omahu vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNew Zealand is also the beneficiary of having a clone that traces its heritage back to an import into California from Meursault in 1882. The aim was always to re-unite these two selections originating from Burgundy over 100 years apart into a single wine of heritage from a single vineyard.
